3D Audio QA / Test Engineer

We are now looking for a Q & A / Test engineer to join our 3D Audio team in Uppsala.

You will be part of a dedicated development team being responsible for quality assurance of our various spatial 3D audio technologies. You will work closely with other Dirac software developers, tuning engineers and researchers to explore spatial audio for immersive applications.

You will work with executing test plans to verify all aspects of the products being developed by the team and identify defects and validate resolutions. You will work with developers in the team, creating plans for automated tests to compliment the exploratory testing you perform.

You will be responsible for developing tests and processes to perform these along with necessary documentation and to communicate the test results to the involved teams and the product owners. You will also work with programming and development when requested.

Required qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in software development and testing

  • Programming experience and proficiency in C and C++

  • Experience in automated software testing

  • Excellent oral and written English skills

  • A drive to innovate and a strong sense of responsibility

  • Experience of working in an agile environment

  • Interest in sound and audio technology

  • Self-going as well as team player

Desired qualifications

  • Experience working with frameworks for VR, AR and/or 3D audio applications.

  • Experience with audio, in particular spatial audio

  • Experience with game development and game engines such as Unreal or Unity

  • Experience with audio development and audio programming

  • Experience of turning Matlab/Simulink algorithms into optimized C implementations
