Jean-Baptiste Citerin,Research Engineer, Core Tech

What brought you to Dirac?

The final internship of my Master's degree in electro-acoustics allowed me to enter Dirac. An alumni, who is now my colleague, had had a very good experience during his, so I decided to try my luck.

What is the best thing about your job?

It is a constant learning experience. It involves constantly improving your knowledge in different domains and applying it to real life problems.

What concert is the best one you have ever attended?

Hard to say, but my most vivid memories are from Nils Frahm and Dawn Of Midi playing in Montreal about 3 years ago, or Russian Circles and Chelsea Wolfe in Paris the year before.

What types of music do you usually listen to? What is your favourite music genre?

I like to listen to various styles of music, from ambient and experimental electronic music to black metal, trip hop, and classical... I can't really choose one over another.

What did you do 10 years ago?

I was actually in middle school in France, far from thinking I would actually live and work abroad 10 years later.
