Lars-Johan Brännmark, Chief Scientist
What do you enjoy most about working at Dirac?
I enjoy having a job where I can combine my interests in science and music, constantly exploring new ideas together with great colleagues. I also enjoy the opportunities to travel from time to time, to meet customers or attend conferences in all parts of the world.
What is the coolest thing you're working on right now?
Out of the current projects I’m involved in, the one I enjoy the most is about developing new ways to predict and control the nonlinear distortion of loudspeakers.
Which musical instrument do you like the most?
The guitar, electric and classical, is special to me since it is the instrument I have been playing since I was about ten. Apart from enjoying the guitar in all its forms, I listen to piano music a lot, mostly classical.
Which concert is the best one you have ever attended?
The concert that I think left the biggest impression on me ever was with Eric Clapton and friends in Royal Albert Hall in 1991. I was 16 and fanatically into blues music, and that concert included basically all of my musical heroes at the time, like Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and Robert Cray.
What do you do in your free time?
Take care of and play with my daughter Sofia.
