What is the best thing about your job?
The fact that nothing is impossible. If I have a great idea I’d like to implement in the company, I have the opportunity to make it a reality.
What brought you to Dirac?
Music has always been a passion of mine, and this goes hand in hand with my interest in great sound. For a small Swedish company, Dirac Research is making a lot of noise on the forefront of sound technology. And I was looking for a challenge where I could put my skills and ideas to the test while growing with a company. Dirac took me in and so the journey began.
What is playing on your headphones while you are working?
I like all kinds of music, but when I DJ I usually play electronic dance music. I have found the genre to be perfect for when I want to work at a fast pace. So I have a Spotify playlist with mainly progressive dance music that keeps me focused.
What movie has the best sound experience?
The opening deer hunt car chase scene in I Am Legend with the Shelby GT500 Mustang. It’s two minutes and thirty seconds of awesomeness for testing out the range of your home theatre system. Another two films with an awesome sound experience are Tron Legacy with Daft Punk in the driving seat, and the latest sequel of Blade Runner 2049 – wow.
What did you do 10 years ago?
10 years ago I had just finished high school and decided to work before taking on higher level education. I worked for a Hi-Fi store called Hi-Fi Klubben during the day, and as a DJ at night. I’m actually still working at the Hi-Fi store as a hobby some weekends, and if you’re out in clubs or bars in Stockholm there is a great chance you’ll hear me DJ 😉.
Who would you like to swap places with for a day?
Bill Murray. I’d just walk around Hollywood studios wearing a robe, slippers and a fishing hat while taking a peek at all the current productions.
