Position Background

The consumer demand for high-quality audio is increasing rapidly across all product categories. Today hundreds of millions of smartphone users throughout the world enjoy enhanced audio experiences made possible by Dirac solutions.

With the creation of this position, our goal is to equip smartphone users across the globe with premium audio solutions by them to upgrade to Dirac audio, via a Dirac app, directly from their smartphone – rather than simply selling the upgrade to the OEMs who then offer it to their customers.

Though this is a new model for the smartphone market, we’ve proven this to be a successful sales and marketing strategy in our home theater channel – where we currently sell audio upgrades direct-to-consumer on our website or as an upgrade through our B2B customers.

Dirac solutions today are used in more than 200 million devices – from smartphones to automobiles, HiFi systems, and more. This global reach provides a fantastic platform for our premium sound upgrade offer to consumers.


Your Challenge

In this role, you are responsible for designing and scaling our B2C smartphone audio business from the ground-up. You will develop the business model, establish the sales and marketing strategy, and implement this program on a global scale. To effectively build this very important practice area, you will work closely with our global sales organization, product managers, and marketing team.

Through this collaboration, you will launch a successful B2C smartphone practice area that includes various partner models that allow us to infiltrate multiple market segments with premium branding/pricing profiles for our consumer offering.


Your Profile

Requirements for success in this demanding position include an entrepreneurial spirit; expertise in creating exceptional consumer experiences, regardless of product area; and a keen understanding of what drives sales. Furthermore, you must also have a deep understanding of the consumer market; an understanding how best to sell and market to this audience; and be equipped with the tools to test various strategies to determine which are the most effective for our target audience.

You will have done this before – designed, marketed, and/ or sold consumer products – with a high and frequent level of success, and have achieved said success on an international scale. China, Europe and US markets are familiar grounds to you, and you have insight into the key differences between each market and understand how to position premium products accordingly. You have a strong sense of responsibility and are attracted to dynamic organizations that are driven to change the world.

An interest in audio is an advantage but not a requirement. This job is entirely focused on designing exceptional consumer experiences and taking them to market. You will be supported by our experienced product managers, marketing team and the sales organization – all of which are highly versed in the audio marketplace.
