Position Background

The consumer demand for high-quality audio is increasing rapidly across all product categories. Dirac solutions today are used in more than 200 million devices – from smartphones to automobiles, HiFi systems, and more. We are already a technology leader with a huge user base and now we want to become a global household brand too. International top-tier media is taking notice of Dirac – we have been featured in The Wallstreet Journal, BBC, The Economist 1848 Magazine, Engadget, Forbes, IEEE Spectrum, Mashable, TechRadar, etc, etc. HiFi media and Internet forums write about us regularly. Your Challenge

In this role, you are responsible for designing and executing our brand strategy and marketing strategy from the ground-up. You will work closely with our global sales organization, product managers, a small marketing team and PR agencies. You will own the marketing budget and support both short-term and long-terms needs. You will also work with the entire organization to ensure that our brand vision permeates all that we do. Our brand and our technology are the corner stones of our success, and they go hand in hand.

As an ingredient brand, Dirac’s brand building and marketing must focus both on B2B and B2C marketing. Today our customers are mainly manufacturers of sound systems, but an increasing amount of our growth will come from the end user making in-app purchases or on the Dirac web site. Influencing and driving purchase decisions and increasing conversion rates will be a central part of our marketing efforts.

You will lead our marketing team, consisting of a small in-house team and external agencies and partners. You will be responsible for web, social media, communication, PR, brand building, marketing automation, etc. In short, you will have full responsibility and accountability for all Dirac marketing and brand building.

Your Profile

Requirements for success in this demanding position include an entrepreneurial spirit; expertise in global consumer brand building and ingredient brand building, regardless of product area; and a keen understanding of what drives sales. Furthermore, you must also have a deep understanding of the consumer market; an understanding how best to sell and market to this audience; and be equipped with the tools to test various strategies to determine which are the most effective for our target audiences.

You have built brands on a global scale. China, Europe and US markets are familiar grounds to you, and you have insight into the key differences between each market and understand how to position premium brands accordingly. You have a strong sense of responsibility and are attracted to dynamic organizations that are driven to change the world.

You are also a great leader – able to go into detail yet see the big picture; an exceptional and inspiring communicator. You understand digital channels, and you are data and insight driven. You know how to effectively budget and build a marketing plan. Your written and spoken English is of the highest quality.

An interest in audio is an advantage but not a requirement. You will be supported by our experienced product managers, marketing team and the sales organization – all of which are highly versed in the audio marketplace. We encourage female applicants to this position.
