Amplifier Technologies Inc. Licenses Dirac Live® Digital Room Correction Technology for use in Theta Digital and B&K Branded Components
September 1, 2011
Montebello, CA – Amplifier Technologies, Inc., the holding company for the ATI, Audioaccess, BGW, B&K and Theta Digital brands announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Dirac Research AB located in Uppsala, Sweden to bring Dirac Live® Digital Room Correction to home audio.
Dirac Live® uses patented mixed-phase impulse response correction to reduce the effects of early room reflections and to improve playback clarity, soundstaging and bass response. According to Morris Kessler, president of Amplifier Technologies, “Without proper room correction our best efforts to create a state-of-the-art audio experience can be overwhelmed by sound’s interaction with the listening room. The improved clarity available by adding Dirac Live® to our Theta Digital Casablanca III HD preamp/processor and other models is jaw-dropping.”
Mathias Johansson, Dirac Research CEO and CTO stated, “We are pleased to add Amplifer Technologies to the array of well known high-performance companies committed to offering their customers world-class audio reproduction.”
Dirac Live® is currently available in select models from BMW, Bentley and Rolls Royce and in high-end digital cinema theaters across the world to achieve the finest in sound quality.
