Dirac Research granted patent in Japan for Dirac Unison

Dirac Unison enables multiple loudspeakers within a sound system to work optimally together, creating a “super speaker” made up of several individual speakers, while also providing active sound treatment to ensure the best possible sound experience.

Uppsala, Sweden. Swedish audio technology provider Dirac Research today announces that the company has recently been granted patent protection in Japan regarding its unique and innovative technology for advanced digital multi-speaker optimization, called Dirac Unison®.

The Japanese Patent Office granted Japanese Patent 5957137 to Dirac Research with regard to “an audio controller that enables an extended pre-compensation strategy for improving the reproduction of stereo or multi-channel audio material over multiple loudspeakers”.
