Position Background

The customer demand for high-quality audio in cars and other vehicles is increasing rapidly across the world. Electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, shared ownership and other technologies and trends are changing the demand for audio solutions.  Dirac needs to follow and be a leader in prioritized areas where audio performance and user experience are key.  We need to define and develop products that excites and be aware of different needs in different regions and promote globally.  Today customers throughout the world enjoy enhanced audio experiences made possible by Dirac solutions.

Your Challenge

This is a key role in the future development of our Automotive Audio business. You will be responsible for all aspects of product management from market research to product definition and technical ownership. The Product Manager will own the product plan and the actual product releases and make sure the prioritization of contents per release is meeting the business needs of the Business Unit (BU) and company.

You are the primary bridge between R&D, Sales and the customers and equally skilled in technology and business. You will need to closely collaborate with the R&D team to align the roadmaps of the Business Unit’s product roadmaps with the company platform development. The main counterparties in the R&D department are the customer success managers and the product owners, both within Algorithm and Product Development. You will provide ideas for the Algorithm team’s research and make requests for prototype developments from the R&D department.

Your Profile

You must be an excellent communicator, equally versed in business and engineering lingo. Having a global mindset, the Product Manager must be culturally attuned in order to effectively build relationships and influence and motivate internal and external constituents. You must be comfortable and adaptable in a dynamic, changing environment. You must have an innate passion for business, technology and the notion of continuous improvement.

You have experience from similar positions in the Automotive Industry. China, Europe and US markets are familiar grounds to you, and you have insight into the key differences between each market and understand how to position premium products accordingly. You have a strong sense of responsibility and are attracted to dynamic organizations that are driven to change the world. An interest in audio is an advantage.

In summary your role is accountable for the Automotive Business Unit to deliver all required product requirements for the R&D team to deliver on, and for the market success of your products.
