Setting up and calibrating with Dirac Live Room Correction is a straightforward process that will enhance your audio experience. Here’s a brief overview of the process.
1. Download the software.
Begin by downloading and installing the Dirac Live software on your computer. The software is available for Windows and Mac.
2. Connect your Microphone.
Use a calibrated measurement microphone, such as the mimiDSP UMIK-1. Connect it to your computer.
3. Measurement procedure.
Open the Dirac Live program and log in. Select your Dirac Live-enabled device from the list.
Dirac Live will guide you through doing measurements from various positions in your room.
4. Analyse and calibrate.
Once the measurements are complete, Dirac Live analyses the data to identify acoustic anomalies such as peaks, dips, and reflections. Dirac Live then generates a correction tailored to your room’s specific acoustics.
5. Export to your device.
After designing the filter, click to export it to your device for a listening test. Remember to save your project before closing to keep your filter settings and measurements for future adjustments. Once applied, the room correction is active, and you can experience improved sound quality.
