Dirac expands to three new Marantz models

Dirac Expands Dirac Live Room Correction Availability to Support Three New Marantz Models

UPPSALA, Sweden, September 9, 2026

Dirac has today announced expanded Dirac Live support for three new Marantz products: the CINEMA 70s Series 2, MCR 60n and MCR 60n DAB. All three products support Dirac Live Room Correction, giving listeners access to advanced room optimization technology across Marantz’s slimline home theater and compact network audio offerings. The technology is available as an optional upgrade requiring the purchase of the applicable Dirac Live license.

The newly supported models build on Dirac's longstanding collaboration with Marantz and reflect growing demand for room acoustics technologies that help high-performance audio systems deliver their full potential in real-world listening environments.

“Expanding Dirac Live Room Correction to the CINEMA 70s Series 2 and MCR 60n gives more listeners the ability to optimize their systems for their unique listening environments,” said Rikard Hellerfelt, Dirac Vice President & Head of BA Consumer Electronics. “Even the highest-quality audio components are affected by the room around them. Dirac Live helps address those acoustic challenges so listeners can experience clearer, more accurate and better-balanced sound from their systems.”

Dirac Live Room Correction analyzes how a room and speaker setup affect the interaction between sound and space, then applies corrections that improve timing, phase alignment, frequency response, imaging and tonal balance. By calibrating the system to the listening environment, Dirac Live Room Correction helps deliver clearer, more accurate sound across a wider listening area.

The CINEMA 70s Series 2 and MCR 60n combine Marantz sound quality with versatile, compact designs. The slimline CINEMA 70s Series 2 adds Dirac Live Room Correction support alongside upgraded audio, streaming and connectivity features, while the MCR 60n integrates high-resolution streaming, a CD player, phono stage, HDMI eARC and up to 65W per channel into an all-in-one network audio system. The MCR 60n DAB offers the same core capabilities with DAB support.

Through Dirac Live Room Correction, compatible device owners can analyze the acoustic characteristics of their listening environments and apply advanced correction that improves clarity, tonal balance and overall system performance.
