Dirac today announced that Emotiva’s new LXR-11 AV receiver and LXP-16 surround processor will launch with Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control, and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment included and ready to use out of the box, with no additional license purchase required.

The launch marks a major update to Emotiva’s home theater lineup and brings Dirac’s complete room optimization suite to Emotiva’s newest high-performance products. It also marks the first time Emotiva products will include Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, giving Emotiva customers access to Dirac’s most advanced technologies for room correction, bass management, and active low-frequency room control.

The Emotiva LXR-11 and LXP-16 support up to 9.4.6 channel processing and are designed to deliver immersive, precisely tuned home theater experiences across a wide range of real-world listening environments. Both models support major immersive audio formats and leverage the full Dirac Live suite to address room-induced acoustic challenges that can prevent even high-performance systems from reaching their full potential.

“Emotiva has built a loyal following among home theater enthusiasts who value performance, flexibility, and control,” said Rikard Hellerfelt, Dirac Vice President & Head of BA Consumer Electronics. “With the LXR-11 and LXP-16, Emotiva customers gain access to the full Dirac Live suite, including Active Room Treatment, our most advanced room acoustics technology. Together, these solutions help unlock more accurate imaging, tighter bass, and a more immersive listening experience across the room.”

The new lineup is anchored by the Emotiva LXR-11, an AV receiver equipped with 11 channels of Hypex NcoreX amplification and support for immersive 9.4.6 surround processing. For home theater enthusiasts who prefer a separates-based system, the LXP-16 offers the same advanced processing architecture and immersive audio support in a standalone surround processor configuration.

Both products support HDMI connectivity, balanced XLR outputs, Bluetooth transmit and receive functionality, and streaming capabilities including Spotify, TIDAL, and Roon compatibility.

Dirac Live Room Correction analyzes how a room and speaker setup affect sound, then applies corrections that improve frequency response, phase alignment, timing, imaging, tonal balance, and clarity. Unlike conventional equalization, Dirac Live addresses both magnitude and phase distortions, helping listeners experience a more accurate and natural soundstage across the listening area.

Dirac Live Bass Control further improves low-frequency performance by managing how subwoofers and speakers work together. It optimizes bass reproduction across one or multiple subwoofers, helping deliver smoother, more consistent low-frequency performance and better integration between subwoofers and main speakers.

Dirac Live Active Room Treatment builds on this foundation as Dirac’s most advanced room acoustics technology. Rather than correcting each speaker in isolation, Active Room Treatment uses the full speaker array as a coordinated acoustic system. Through advanced multi-speaker processing, speakers and subwoofers work together to actively control low-frequency resonances, reduce unwanted bass decay, and create a cleaner, more controlled sound field across the listening area.

This is especially important in home theater environments, where low-frequency energy can linger in the room, blur detail, and create differences from seat to seat. Active Room Treatment helps address these challenges digitally, giving listeners tighter bass, greater clarity, improved focus, and a more consistent experience across multiple listening positions without requiring extensive physical room treatments.

“Emotiva has long been recognized for delivering high-performance home theater products to passionate enthusiasts,” said Dan Laufman, President at Emotiva Audio Corp. “With the LXR-11 and LXP-16, we sought to combine powerful immersive processing, advanced amplification, and system flexibility with the most complete room optimization platform available today. Partnering with Dirac allows us to deliver products that help customers get the best possible performance from their speakers, subwoofers, and listening rooms.”

The Emotiva LXR-11 and LXP-16 will be available October 2026, with the complete Dirac Live suite included and ready to use upon purchase of either device.
