Marantz Cinema 2 Series

Dirac Live Now Available to New Marantz CINEMA Series 2 Receivers.

Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2 adds the full Dirac Live room optimization portfolio, while CINEMA 60 Series 2 and CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2 gain Dirac Live Room Correction.

UPPSALA, Sweden, August 11, 2026

Today Dirac announced expanded Dirac Live support for the latest Marantz CINEMA Series 2 receivers. The Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2 supports the complete Dirac Live portfolio, including Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment – continuing the full Dirac Live support available on the current CINEMA 50. The new Marantz CINEMA 60 Series 2 and CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2, meanwhile, add support for Dirac Live Room Correction for the first time, a capability not available on the current CINEMA 60. These technologies are available as optional upgrades requiring the purchase of the applicable Dirac Live license.

The expanded availability builds on Dirac's longstanding collaboration with Marantz and reflects growing demand for room acoustics technologies that help high-performance audio systems deliver their full potential in real-world listening environments.

"Dirac Live Active Room Treatment represents the most advanced room acoustics work we've done, and expanding its availability to additional Marantz receivers gives more listeners access to the highest level of performance optimization we offer," said Rikard Hellerfelt, Dirac Vice President & Head of BA Consumer Electronics. "Whether customers are building a compact entertainment system or a high-performance immersive theater, Dirac Live helps ensure that what they hear is not limited by the room itself."

Dirac Live Active Room Treatment uses the full speaker array as a coordinated acoustic system, actively controlling room resonances and sound decay to deliver a cleaner, more controlled soundstage with greater clarity, detail and focus. By leveraging speakers and subwoofers together, Dirac Live Active Room Treatment helps reduce the impact of standing waves and room decay, resulting in tighter bass, improved spatial accuracy and a more immersive listening experience.

Dirac Live Room Correction analyzes how a room and speaker setup affect the interaction between sound and space, then applies corrections that improve timing, phase alignment, frequency response, imaging and tonal balance. By calibrating the system to the listening environment, Dirac Live Room Correction helps deliver clearer, more accurate sound across a wider listening area.

Dirac Live Bass Control optimizes low-frequency performance across subwoofers and speakers to deliver smoother, more consistent bass throughout the listening space. It intelligently manages subwoofer integration and low-frequency response, improving bass impact, balance and consistency across multiple seating positions.

Powered by HEOS™, Marantz receivers are designed to support immersive home entertainment experiences across dedicated theater rooms and everyday living spaces. The Marantz CINEMA 60 Series 2 and CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2 provide expanded capability for larger entertainment rooms, while the Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2 offers enthusiasts access to Marantz's most advanced home theater experience with support for the complete Dirac Live room optimization portfolio.

Starting August 10, 2026, the Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2 supports the complete Dirac Live portfolio, as optional upgrades, including Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, maintaining the same comprehensive Dirac Live capabilities as the current CINEMA 50. The new Marantz CINEMA 60 Series 2 and CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2 will support Dirac Live Room Correction as an optional upgrade, adding this capability beyond what was available on the current CINEMA 60. Compatible device owners will be able to purchase and activate the applicable Dirac Live licenses through Dirac.
