Dirac Appoints Helene Warme as Chief Financial Officer Amid Rapid Global Expansion
September 15, 2025
Former Epidemic Sound finance executive and Volvo Cars treasury leader brings to Dirac market-specific expertise to help scale the company’s growth and elevate operational excellence.
UPPSALA, Sweden, September 15, 2025 – Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac today announced the appointment of Helene Warme as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 2025. Warme succeeds Klas Åström, who will retire following a distinguished tenure in which he guided the company’s financial operations during a period of continued R&D innovation and global expansion.
Warme brings more than a decade of experience leading finance teams in industries closely aligned with Dirac’s business. As Vice President of Corporate Finance at Epidemic Sound, she played a key role in scaling the company’s subscription-based music platform globally, driving major growth initiatives across Europe and the U.S.
Previously, she held positions at iZettle – acquired by PayPal in 2018 – and at Volvo Cars, where she spent over four years shaping global financial and treasury strategies, including an extended assignment in China, which today is one of Dirac’s primary markets.
Warme’s experience across Dirac’s two fastest-growing markets – automotive and home audio – uniquely positions her to guide the company’s financial strategy through its next phase of expansion. Her appointment further strengthens Dirac’s ability to capitalize on its commercial momentum and scale successfully across industries.
“Helene is joining Dirac at a time when our technologies are becoming a standard feature in both premium vehicles and next-generation home audio systems,” said Anders Storm, Dirac’s CEO. “Her experience working at the intersection of music, technology, and automotive gives her a deep understanding of the industries where we are scaling fastest. With her financial and strategic expertise, Helene will play a critical role as we expand global operations, pursue new categories, and build a foundation for long-term profitability. I also want to thank Klas for his many contributions that helped establish the strong financial foundation we are building on today.”
Dirac’s growth has accelerated significantly in recent years. From 2019 to 2024, net sales achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27%, fueled by record automotive adoption, which rose 62% in 2023 and 32% in 2024. The home audio consumer market also showed strong momentum, delivering 25% year-over-year growth in 2024. Notably, Dirac reported a positive EBIT for the first time in 2024, reaching SEK 13.2 million.
Dirac’s smart acoustics technologies are now deployed by leading global brands across product categories – automotive, home theater and more. Dirac’s solutions allow manufacturers to deliver studio-quality sound in any environment, creating a competitive edge as demand for premium listening experiences grows.
“Dirac has built a reputation as one of the few companies in the world able to consistently redefine what’s possible with sound,” said Warme. “What excites me about joining is not only the opportunity to support continued growth, but also to help scale a business that sits at the intersection of software innovation, semiconductor partnerships, and world-class consumer experiences. With strong momentum already in motion, I look forward to strengthening our financial strategy and ensuring Dirac can continue to lead in every market we enter.”
As CFO, Warme will oversee all global financial operations and play a central role in guiding the company’s next stage of growth – with a focus on profitability, scale, global expansion, and operational excellence.
Warme holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from Göteborg University and a Master of Science in Business & Finance from Bond University Australia. She will be based at Dirac’s headquarters in Uppsala, Sweden.
